Swiss Hotel Market Sentiment Survey H2 2013

By norway on August 23, 2013

The industry’s breathing a sigh of relief is raising hope

It is a real pleasure for once to broadcast good news. For the second time in a row the Swiss hotel industry scored positive on the sentiment survey. It’s not quite the final all-clear, but the situation seems to have stabilized.

Interestingly enough, the Swiss results outperform the European and global scores for the second time. In particular, Switzerland has topped 12 European countries, France, Italy, Croatia, and the Netherlands among them.

A look at the Swiss results by category shows that 3-star hoteliers cast a positive outlook for the second half of 2013 despite H1 performance levels trailing expectations. In 4-star hotels on the other hand performance exceeded expectations and is expected to remain stable.
